Scope of Stratagem:
Stratagem is a peer reviewed political science and international relations research journal that thematically deals with governance, environment, economics, counter-terrorism, nuclear studies, geopolitics, and strategic studies.

It is the first international relations and political science journal in Pakistan that has integrated itself with the OJS publishing system, and is committed to open access of knowledge. 

History of Stratagem:
Stratagem started as the flagship global affairs electronic magazine of the Centre for Strategic and Contemporary Research in May 2015. It was an experimental foray of the newly established policy institute to reflect on contemporary issues through crisp expert analyses by young scholars using digital publishing domain. The publication was ceased in 2017 as its continuation was considered untenable in the larger vision of the institute that primarily related to the actualisation in academia.

Stratagem has now been rebranded and reinstated as a research journal (publishes in print and online). While we are currently not in absolute compliance with the parameters enshrined by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, the institute is making all the related efforts to that effect, and is emulating the best practices of highly accredited international journals.
